How we score
A ProofScore is a number from 0 to 100 built from five parts. The same method applies to every review.
The five parts
| Part | Weight | What it asks |
|---|---|---|
| Claims hold up | 30% | Does it do what the sales page says? |
| Ease of use | 20% | Setup time and learning curve. |
| Support and refund | 15% | Vendor replies, and the refund is honored. |
| Value for money | 20% | Price against alternatives and upsell pressure. |
| Evidence quality | 15% | Results we could verify ourselves. |
Each part is scored from 0 to 100 by the reviewer, then weighted. A missing part counts as 0, so a half-finished review can never look good.
The three verdicts
- Buy A ProofScore of 75 or more. Worth the price if it fits what you need.
- Wait 55 to 74. Something is missing or unproven. Read the cons first.
- Skip Under 55. We would not pay for it.
The reviewer can set the verdict by hand when the number does not tell the whole story, for example a safe score with a refund that was refused. The reason is written in the review.
What counts as evidence
Each test in a review is marked Worked, Partly or Did not work, with a note on what we did. We also say how we got the product: Bought with our own money, Vendor review copy or Vendor demo only.
Rules we follow
- Commission never changes a score or a verdict. We link to products we scored Skip when readers ask about them.
- We do not use countdown timers or fake scarcity. If a price or bonus changes, the review says so.
- Results and income claims from a sales page are not repeated unless we reproduced them.
- When we are wrong we fix the review and show the update date.
